First-year students are taking their reading to the extreme in W. Scott Olsen’s Exploration, Adventure and Risk Inquiry Seminar. After studying works by travel and adventure writers, they fly airplanes, sail boats and even scuba dive.
All first-year students are required to register for an Inquiry Seminar, which is paired with either a written or oral communication course. Both classes include the same group of students, making it easier for first-year students to get to know some of their classmates.
