David Boggs can hardly keep up with the demand for his paintings. Boggs’ skyscapes, which depict the “open spaces and dominant skies†of the Great Plains, are showcased at his one-person show at the Circa Gallery in Minneapolis.
Over four years have passed since Boggs’ last one-person exhibition in 2006. This is due, in part, to the quick sale of his paintings.
“When the paintings have been very well-received, I can hardly keep up with demand,â€
says Boggs. “Of course, that’s a problem I am eager to confront as often as possible.â€
This summer, Boggs painted almost all of the 28 pieces on display, ranging from serene skies to abstract active clouds. Because of the sky’s brilliance in the topography of west central Minnesota, it defines each painting, inviting the participant to revere nature.
See it yourself at the Circa Gallery until Jan. 29.
